Man of Shadows
Inspired by the vampire trilogy by Anne Rice, I wanted to paint my own vampire scene. The background was based loosely on a french street, though some viewers feel it looks like New Orleans. I found the photo references of this street interesting because of the gutter running down the center. I asked a good friend to model for me and after several roles of film I found just the right expression on his face - quite unsettling isn't it?
