CD Rom Titles

From 1992 through 1999 I worked for 3 different CD Rom companies located in Knoxville, TN. The first one was called Cyberflix, and they started out as a 4 man team including me as a freelancer that worked out of Bill Appleton's basement. The company later moved downtown and signed a contract with both Paramount Interactive and Bondai Distribution in Japan. I painted characters on board that were scanned in and then animated. I also learned animation while working for Cyberflix.

About the same time I was working for Cyberflix I also started working for another company, Bookworm Student Library,  that created the classics on CD Rom. There I worked on illustrations that were scanned in, but not animated. Titles I worked on: "Making the Modern and after the Fire" (poetry from the Romanticism period), Little Women, Frankenstein, The Scarlet Letter and the complete works of Edgar Allan Poe.

The last company I worked with published Language CD's. When I first met them they were called Hyperglot. They later changed the name to The Learning Company and were then bought by Broderbund. Last I heard Broderbund adopted the name The Learning Company. In addition to Language CD's the company published Children's CD Rom Learning Games such as the popular Reader Rabbit. I worked as a conceptual artist and then later did pencil illustrations and animation work for them.

I have included the best of my work from those times. Please bear in mind, many of these were cartoonish in character under the direction of the editors. They were all fun assignments. A lot of these pieces are for sale. Please contact me if you are reading this before they have been put in my shop.
