My Science Fiction works vary in subject matter, or course there are many alien like worlds in many of my works, but when I started doing book covers it was very important to me to depart from the typical Science fiction covers I grew up with and to definitely depart from the stereotype of scantily clad vacuous looking women. I strove to make the women in my illustrations intelligent and thought provoking. I wanted my figures to impart emotion and strength and above all be very human. For every book cover or interior illustration  I worked on, I did extensive research. I still do this today with all my works.
